We begin by making the base from your own hair, which serves as a kind of carcass until you want the braids to be removed. We braid your own hair and add a special material inside, called kanekalon. This material cannot be torn, it allows braids to be stronger and last longer.

 It is not necessary to wash the curls since they are not real hair. The fibers used are high temperature material that remain dry and nonabsorbent (no smell of smoke, perfume, or other). It always remains in the same condition. The most critical thing is to brush the curls. We will provide you with spray. You need to mix water and conditioner in the spray (any conditioner you usually use is suitable for it). You disperse the conditioner on the curls and start rubbing them with your hands. Brushing with a comb will make the hair fluffy and increase volume (which we don’t need to add). It is imperative to brush the curls for 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening. Curls should be braided in one braid before sleeping and should not be left open. While we sleep, we move a lot, so our curls can get tangled.

When your hair is braided, it is not required to be washed often. The most important thing is to take care of your scalp. Once every 10-14 days is more than enough to wash the scalp. For the first time it sounds a bit weird, but if you keep your own hair always dry, it will not disturb you and it will not smell. If your hair becomes wet due to the weather outdoors or sports activities, you can use moisturizing tissues (for babies) to refresh the scalp. In general, you can avoid unnecessary washing of your hair with these tissues. As you have full access to your scalp, you can easily reach any zone of your head. It is recommended to wash your hair 2-3 times only while you are wearing curls. Curls always remain curly, however their softness decreases with each wash. Curls will require more attention and more frequent brushing.

They will dry out by themselves, as it is a high-temperature material that does not absorb water. After washing, spray water and conditioner on the curls and brush them with your hands.

 Braiding is the only type of hair extension that is completely safe for your own hair. Braiding has zero negative effects, because we use only water and braiding techniques. However, it is very significant to make the hairstyle properly, so that it will not be too tight or uncomfortable for the client. It is the responsibility of our professionals. Hair application and removal are equally important, as is the way in which the hair is applied. Our team will give simple instructions to the client.

Advantages:

a) It is a high quality fiber, a duplicate of natural hair. The latest technology is used to create these colors and designs of hair. Natural hair, on the other hand, is extremely flexible, so it can’t be braided. Natural hair will get easily damaged and will not last for a long time. Fiber can be fixed permanently to braids, but you cannot remove the curls unless you cut them.

b) Fiber is a high-temperature material that does not react to water or humidity. This means that your hair will always remain curly, even after taking a shower.

c) Fiber is a very light material, which does not cause any discomfort for your head. We usually use around 300 grams per hairstyle. The maximum weight for a hairstyle is 600 grams. A weight that exceeds this amount can cause headaches and discomfort, so the hairstyle should be removed immediately. Natural hair is heavy by itself. It will be difficult to create big volume with natural hair.

d) Fiber comes at a very affordable price. You can get it for between 500 and 1500 AED. In addition to application, natural curly hair costs around 3000-6000AED.

Step 1: Your own hair should be completely dry.

Step 2: cut the curls with the distance 2-3cm from your own hair (own braids)

Step 3: Cut the ends of the braids, where they are fixed, and start opening them one by one, starting with the braids above the ears.

Step 4: Each braid should be brushed separately while opening, to be sure that braids will not get tangled.

Step 5: After brushing each braid, the hair should be washed immediately. It is not recommended to keep hair in this condition, as it can start tangling. After washing your hair, it will be back to the same condition as it was before Afrocurls application.

Most people do not experience any side effects from braiding or Afrocurls. For some people who have never braided their hair before, it can cause some discomfort for the first couple of days. You may experience a slight headache or tightness in your head for 2-4 days. You don’t have to take any action to remove the hairstyle. Human scalp is very flexible. It can easily adapt to any condition. After a couple of days you will not feel any discomfort and will consider any hairstyle as part of your own hair. There are some cases when you have to reject the client’s request for a hairstyle:

a) If client has chronic migraine

b) If there was plastic surgery done over the face and it is less than 3 months after operation

c) If there are serious irritations/active dandruff/ skin diseases/alopecia/baldness over some zones of the head

d) If hair transmission was recently implemented, braiding is allowed only after a doctor’s confirmation

This fiber (curls) can be used one time only. When we apply curls, we apply 3 knots to each piece of hair. This hair can only be cut, it cannot be untangled. Secondly, when we apply curls, we divide each piece into small pieces. This allows curls to be evenly distributed over the full head. In time, these small curls will form one big curl. This big curl cannot be separated anymore. This means that if you want to use the same curls twice, the braids will be visible. This will not give you the same look, as there will be gaps between the curls.
